The Litany of Harrowing

For the instinct to be whole

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For the uncovering of pain

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For courage to walk towards ghosts

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For dreams that answer questions

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For tears that clear the way

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For witnesses to healing

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For clear-eyed ones who look in love

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For scars that prompt compassion

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For hearts that tend the fire

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For souls who know no shame

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For action without fear

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For joy and grief in gentle balance

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

For love which does not bind

We give thanks to the Light of the World.

Into the Depths: A Prayer

Come Prophetic Anger

en-courage me in naming truly

Come Holy Paradox

fling me into murky deeps and sparkling rain

Come Bright Prism

pour into me and out waves of color

Come Morning Bird

rejoice to grieve with me and fly
